October Bulletin 2021

I am trying to GO GREEN and eliminate so much paper.  This year I would like to keep you up to date on news and payment reminders via email.  If you are not getting any emails from me, please let me know immediately.

All students have been measured for Recital Costumes. Recital Costume Payments will be due by October 20th.  Recital Notes with size and amount will go home next week.  Recital will be at the Grand Opera House on May 21st, 2022.

The second tuition payment for this year is due by November 15th.  It is very important that this payment be made on time.  I will send an invoice home with your child the first week of November.

We accept credit card for Tuition and Costume payments. You can pay at the dance school or from the website on PayPal.

We WILL be having all classes next week.  The Dance School does not close for Fall Break.

Our annual Halloween Party is scheduled for October 30th from 4:00-6:00 PM.  The party will be held outside in front of the dance school. There is no charge to attend but donations are appreciated. HALLOWEEN Notes will be emailed to you and reservation forms are available at the dance school. Reservations must be returned no later than the 26th.

Absolutely NO food, drinks, or gum are allowed at the dance school.  Students may bring a water bottle to class.

Please be sure that your child’s name is on all shoes and skirts.

Parents, please make a habit of checking your child’s tap shoes for unsecured screws on the taps.  Even new shoes can have loose screws and it takes just one to cause permanent and severe damage to my floor. Also, dance shoes are INSIDE shoes!  Don’t wear them to and from the car!  By this time everyone should have the assigned skirt (or have it ordered) for their class.

I am always trying to come up with new and fun ways to get students to follow the rules, focus on their lessons, work hard, and learn the disciplines of dress code and good attendance.  I will have incentives for a job well done.  A Free Dress Day will be awarded to individual students and entire classes who exhibit enthusiasm and hard work. If your child receives a Free Dress Day, they may wear any DANCE clothes to class on the designated day.  This could be a different skirt or old Recital costume etc., but it must be dance clothes.

STARTING NEXT WEEK, WE WILL BE DOING EXERCISES AND DANCES WITH A HALLOWEEN THEME.  ALL THINGS ARE DONE FOR FUN AND IN THE SPIRIT OF THE SEASON.  IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS OR QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS, PLEASE LET ME KNOW IMMEDIATELY.

We are off to a great start!  As I’m sure you know by now, this is Flag City’s 40th Anniversary!  I am looking forward to a productive and exciting school year.  Please help me make this a great year of learning for your child.  Make sure they are here and on time!  If you have any problems, questions, or concerns, please call me.  478-742-1848
